Feedback...
I want everyone to be comfortable with this forum, so let me know if there's any way at all to improve it (major or minor) by responding to this thread!

Re: Feedback...
Both already exist. The chat is not directly incorporated into the forum, however there is a link to it toward the bottom of the page (click the "join the chat" thing), though if enough people want it built in it should be a quick fix. And while there is no "introduce yourself" section, the "Welcome to the LOTP" topic serves the same purpose.Lasher221 wrote:umm mabye add a chatbox and mabye add a introduce yourself section?
As for my feedback on this place, I think it needs a new skin (though I believe I mentioned that before, right, Schnautzr?) and possibly a new banner.

Okay, I'll go work on a new skin right now You said green would be good, so I'll make sure it's got green in it.
Edit: Not done, but I've finished the background, header, and footer.

Re: Feedback...
Also curious...what does your address bar say... does it say "http://lotp.tk/" ? If it does, try doing it at https://bonebed.forumotion.net/ let me know if the same thing happens. I'll go ahead and see if I can duplicate your issue.

Re: Feedback...
I succeeded in duplicating your issue-- it looks like it occurs when you visit lotp.tk in Internet Explorer. You can fix that by visiting bonebed.forumotion.net in the future instead of lotp.tk. Using Firefox in the future instead of Internet Explorer will also correct the issue.

Oh and I support adding a built in chat on the page.Makes it more easily accessible.
And I think you should sticky the Known Issues topic. It seems I pushed it down after commenting here.
EDIT:And it seems some avatars (like mine) extend over into the post.

Re: Feedback...
I'm not having that problem on Firefox on Solaris 9...but I'll add it to the known issues. I can't troubleshoot that at the moment, I'll need to try that out on a Windows system.

Re: Feedback...
For the record, that glitch of where you (Schnautzr) were showing up as being on the cbox but then disappearing the moment I logged on turned out to be a forum glitch.
Also, since I saw that Safari was listed as being untested, I use Safari so I removed that.
But I have also noticed something else. The "new posts" icon disappears after I view a thread, no matter how many "new posts" there were or which topic I click on. They all convert to being "no new post" icons.

Re: Feedback...
Ah yes...I ought to add that about the chat box.
As for the new posts icon, that's how it's intended to function.

Re: Feedback...
I've updated the status of several of the issues. For the record, Internet Explorer seems rather incompatible with this website.

No, I don't think you are understanding what I meant. Perhaps I didn't explain things properly.schnautzr wrote:Ah yes...I ought to add that about the chat box.

So, if I log on, normally there are one or two New Post icons. I click on a thread. When I go back to the main page, ALL the New Post icons are gone.
To compare, normally AN icon disappears ONLY when I view the topic that has the new post in it, or it disappears by itself several minutes later, HOWEVER the remaining New Post icons remain.
Its not a major problem, though, because I can still see all the latest posts in the bar on the side as well. I was just pointing out that something wasn't functioning properly, or at least didn't seem to be.

Re: Feedback...
Go to your profile, then to preferences, and find the option about sigs. The "Attatch signiture" option is set to "no" by default. Its pretty easy to overlook. If its still not showing up after that, I'm not sure what the problem is.Dragonith wrote:Not sure if this is an issue, but my signature isn't displaying.

Re: Feedback...
Oh, some people who use Internet Explorer are finding that avatars wider than 100px are flowing past the boundaries of the info box on the left side of the posts, causing the text to do funny things.
