Re: DinoMania Trivia!
It would turn out the man who made the discovery used to hunt for deer and noticed a similarity to the bite marks from modern canids.

Re: DinoMania Trivia!
Woah. Maybe you should narrow the question down...there are HUNDREDS of families.

Re: DinoMania Trivia!
Yikes, those aren't families.
Going by those, if you want families, there should be...
~Rebbachisauridae, Dicraeosauridae, Diplodocidae, Brachiosauridae, Camarasauridae, Euhelopodidae, and then the Titanosaur superfamily which have a few families in it too. And thats just sauropods!
~Hadrosaurinae, Lambeosaurinae, Saurolophinae, which are the hadrosaurs
~Camptosauridae, Dryosauridae, Iguanodontidae, Rhabdodontidae, which are the iguanodonts.
~Abelisauridae and Noasauridae for the abelisaurs
~Deinocheiridae, Garudimimidae, Harpymimidae, and Ornithomimidae for the onrithomimids.
Yikes, man! Thats a brutal question!
Edit: misread that, sorta. lol. Of what you have listed: Amphicoelias, Shantungosaurus or Lambeosaurus (I heard there is a larger one, though for the life of me I can't recall its name), Iguanodon, Majungasaurus (real iffy on this one), and Deinocheirus.

Re: DinoMania Trivia!
I'll throw Struthiomimus in there too, for the heck of it and I'd like to echo the Iguanodon.

Re: DinoMania Trivia!
Lol, I'll say right now that Struthiomimus aint gonna do anything for ya. Gallimimus was bigger, Beishanlong was even bigger, and finally Deinocheirus was absolutely massive! : Pschnautzr wrote:I'll throw Struthiomimus in there too, for the heck of it and I'd like to echo the Iguanodon.

Re: DinoMania Trivia!
Largest Sauropod: Argentinosaurus
Largest Hadrosaur: Anantotitan
Largest Abeiliosaurid: Rugops
Largist Ornithomimid: Deinocheirus
I REALLY Hope on the Abeiliosaurid (if I was reading that right)

It's not Anatotitan in the hadrosaurs? That thing was huge!

Re: DinoMania Trivia!
Ah yes! Zhuchengosaurus was the one I was referring to but couldn't remember the name. And Abelisaurus would have been my second guess. Fine job, Titano.94titano wrote:zhuchengosaurus is the largest hadrosaur and abelisaurus was the largest abelisaur.
And that makes half-points all around.

Re: DinoMania Trivia!
Just ask questions as you come up with them...there's no real turn-taking in this trivia game.
